Heat drawn from the earth is one of the oldest and most stable forms of clean energy — it runs day and night, in every season, without depending on the weather. PGT Europe develops geothermal and thermal-storage infrastructure in Hungary as the energy foundation for a more self-sufficient region.

Why geothermal

Baseload clean energy the grid can actually depend on.

Solar and wind are intermittent by nature — brilliant additions to a grid, but not a foundation on their own. Geothermal heat is constant: it doesn’t care what the weather is doing. Paired with thermal storage, it can supply both district heating and stable power, smoothing out the peaks and gaps that intermittent renewables leave behind.

One piece of a larger architecture
